About the Founder
Troy Haaland has been designing, architecting, and implementing leading edge internet-based technology since 1995. Prior to his involvement in the "Internet Revolution" Troy spent a few years working for a Financial Service Bureau that provided outsourced business services ranging from payroll to accounts receivable delivered on Mainframe and Client Server era computing technology.
Troy, a hard core Steeler fan, has made a career out of delivering enterprise class products and services adopted by many within the Global 2000 community. He is self taught, and highly motivated to ensure that his customers, no matter what size, benefit from the products and services that eSigma.com offers. His vision was not crafted out of a text book, but rather from real world experience, solving some of the most complex business issues facing Fortune 1000 companies over the last decade.
Career Milestones
- 1991: Volunteers to serve in Operations Desert Shield, Storm, and Provide Comfort supporting the U.S. Army's 3rd Armored Division as Reactionary Force(M60 Gunner) for a Retail Refueling Unit (Red Ball Express).
- 1994: Assists Financial Service Bureau from the migration of Mainframe to Client Server, designs personal computer (PC) line, to be sold to businesses and personal users as a product.
- 1995: Takes part in the launch of an award winning ISP, taking on the role as WebMaster / Evangelist.
- 1996: Accepts a contract from Texas Instruments to develop web-based Sales Force Automation (SFA) application for new product release within their Thermal Imaging Division.
- 1997: Assumes honorary Director role for the National Association of WebMasters (NAW) and provides curriculum to be adopted by Universities across the United States looking to provide courses related to Front-end design.
- 1998: Implements one of the first production B2B Digital Marketplaces, while working for pioneering technology startup Tradex Technologies (Acquired by Ariba).
- 1999: Works on project team that revolutionizes Telecommunications Industry by meeting the "Real Time" requirements defined in the Telco Act of 1996, allowing Bell Atlantic (Verizon) to be the first RBOC to resell Long Distance service, approved by the FCC.(Acquires the rights to esigma.com)
- 2000: Helps General Electric's (GE) Treasury Division, while at Harbinger, re-engineer its commerce pipeline into Foreign Markets, dramatically reducing cycle times for market transactions, saving them millions annually.
- 2001: Develops Digital On-RAMP (Rapid Access to Market Place) Methodology and begins consulting to Fortune 1000 company Executives on current Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) strategies.
- 2002: Leads Advanced Architectures (AA) team in North America for Global Network Provider, Dimension Data, designing 5th Generation Integration (Service Bus) Architectures for Fortune 100 companies.
- 2003: Launches eSigma.com with the vision of providing IT market collaboration services designed to stream line and distribute Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), allowing companies to share best practices or business processes securely using TCP/IP as the transport protocol.
- 2004: Re-Launches eSigma.com as the premier Web Service search and publishing engine, allowing companies to collaborate in real-time, around the world, when ever, where ever.
- 2005: Releases eSigma version 2.0, the worlds first standards-based consortium for publishing, consuming and managing Web Service-based business processes.
